Legacy III has become a leading expert in the field of recovery housing. Having started with four beds, it has expanded its capacity to serve to a 15-bed transitional facility, two permanent housing programs, and one rapid rehousing program.
Transitional Housing Services:
Pathways to Freedom is a combined Transitional and Rapid ReHousing program that allows Legacy III to provide emergency housing while preparing the participants for permanent housing. Transitional – Initially, participants live onsite in the transitional housing facility. This is a shared living environment that provides 24-hour-a-day staff supervision; meals and snacks; transportation; laundry equipment and supplies; intensive case management; referrals to other mainstream resources; and other ancillary services.
Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Housing:
Brubaker, Humble Beginnings, and Pathways to Freedom are permanent housing programs that allow participants to live independently in the community. Through intensive case management services, participants are assisted in securing a one-bedroom apartment within the Summit County, Ohio area where they are able to live in their own unit. Housing placement services are at the core of the programs and provide a security deposit, monthly rental assistance, utility assistance, moving costs, transportation, linkage to other mainstream resources, and other ancillary services. The maximum length of participation is long-term.
